Receipts Space is a document management solution for macOS that helps users organize, store, and manage receipts, invoices, and financial documents locally on their devices. Unlike cloud-based services, Receipts Space follows a local-first approach where all data remains on your own computer or personal cloud storage like iCloud Drive or Dropbox, ensuring complete privacy and control over sensitive financial information.
The application supports PDF files, scanned documents, email attachments, image files, web pages, and electronic invoices (XRechnung/ZUGFeRD). Optical character recognition (OCR) automatically extracts text and identifies key data fields for efficient document processing.
Receipts Space stores data in an open, accessible file format. Users can examine library contents directly through Finder, ensuring long-term data access independent of the application. The software requires macOS 14 or newer and is available in English and German.
